Convert your Fear to Faith

14 01 2010

… For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind – 2 Tim 1:7

WHAT IS FEAR?
Fear simply means feeling caused by the possibility of danger or evil.

WHAT FEAR DOES?
• Fear breed inaction
• Inaction leads to lack of experience
• Lack of experience fosters ignorance.
• And ignorance breeds fear.

WHAT ARE THE DANGERS IN FEAR.
1. Fear draw people back. Exo 14:12-13

2. Fear brings bondage. Rom 8:14

3. Fear dulls creativity. Phil 4:13

4. Fear sets you up as a looser in life. Job 3:25

5. Fear robs us of our potentials.

6. You can face the fear and phase it out.

HOW DO WE OVERCOME FEAR?
 Believe the word of God i.e. looking beyond your feeling. Because feeling come and go, but the word of God is constant. Psa 112:6-7.
 Always replace the inaction caused by fear with action through faith. Exo 14:15
 Compare your thought pattern with the fact and see where they don’t match. Isa 55:8-9
 If your focus is on the past, try to move beyond it. Isa 46:9-10
 If you can’t forget your past seek for counsel.
