Provoking Growth Through Signs & Wonders

30 04 2010

And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people…And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.” – Act 5:12-14

Introduction: Signs and wonders are vital tools for winning the lost soul and enhances the conviction of anyone we are ministering to (John 4:48)

The miraculous has proved to be the most effective tool for drawing multitudes to the kingdom (Act 3:1-10, Jn 2:5-11) and provoking church growth.

However, the following factors are avenue for generating signs & wonders.

1. The Word – Most miracles if not all are traceable to the application of a revealed word (Lk 5:5-6). The disciples were boldly declaring the word and God confirmed the word with signs (Mk 16:20).

2. The Holy Spirit – Signs & wonders are operations of the Holy Spirit (Isa 61:1-2)

Jesus went about healing, delivering and saving the lost because he was empowered by the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:38, Lk 4:14

3. Praise – Everywhere the praise of God is engaged, there is an outbreak of signs and when miracles happens men are drawn unto Him. (Acts 4:4, II Chron 20:20-24)

4. Fasting and Prayer – when we gives ourselves to fasting and prayers, we generate spiritual power that finds expression in divers miracles, signs and wonders which becomes living proofs to stir conviction in the heart of people (Act 4:29-30, Act 6:4-6)

Conclusion: It is time to provoke growth in our midst by signs and wonder and winning lost souls by attraction and enforcing total restoration of all that belong to us. It is your set time to see greater things.
